 4.    Re-Sizing Your Desktop (Screen) - Microsoft Windows

This will be a “MUST” for you to learn.

  • If your “Desktop” (screen), does not fill your screen all the way, you might not have it set properly.

  • In the Extreme TOP/RIGHT corner, at the end of the Blue section, (Restore Down should appear when you “mouse over” the “Center Box”. If not, click on it.

  • Now in that center box, when you “Mouse Over” ,“Maximize “ should appear. (This will show only one large box, in that box).

  • Place your cursor anywhere on the TOP/BLUE color, hold the mouse down & drag it around slowly. Your screen should be moving with your cursor

  • Move the Desktop down & sideways, either right or left, so you can see the TOP & both sides of the screen.

Sept.7,06. Since we are just starting this page today, we will give you 2 tips.

  1. (This is for Microsoft Windows) For those of you with slight eyesight problems, you MUST see properly to do your work. If you notice on the top / left hand side of your desktop screen, ( Your "desktop screen" is simply known as your "Desktop",  you will see " VIEW ". Left click once to open this. Move your cursor down to "Text Size". You will see where "YOUR" setting is at this time, by the Bullet being where it is. Just "Left Click" once on Larger or Smaller to move the bullet up or down. You will notice that your text size changes instantly. If you do not like the setting, move it where you prefer. You can always move it back to where you want, for each user. This is very helpful on some sites that have very small text that I cannot makeout so I simply use this tool.

  2. (This is for Microsoft Windows) "Hey, Something is in my way" !  Have you ever needed to see something on your desktop screen when you have another page open? Very simple. Move out of the way. At the top right hand side of your screen you will see 3 small boxes. Left click once on the center box. Your screen will immediately reduce in size. You will notice that the extreme top of your screen is a blue color. Place your cursor on the "BLUE" section, left click & hold down. While holding down your left click, move your mouse, "cursor" down or sideways. This will move the whole screen. Play around with it until you can move it anywhere you want to. When your are done playing around with it, left click the center box again and the screen will go back to where you started. Note: Later I will show you how to Re-size that window and work 2 windows at one time.

Have fun and practice these moves. Your friends will think you are a genius.
